Polycarbonate Sheet Wide 1505mm x 2T
From Wikipedia – “Polycarbonates (PC) are a group of thermoplastic polymers containing carbonate groups in their chemical structures.
Polycarbonates used in engineering are strong, tough materials, and some grades are optically transparent.
They are easily worked, molded, and thermoformed. Because of these properties, polycarbonates find many applications.
Polycarbonates do not have a unique Resin identification code (RIC) and are identified as “Other”, 7 on the RIC. Products made from polycarbonate can contain the precursor monomer bisphenol A (BPA). Polycarbonate is also known by a variety of trademarked names, including Lexan, Makrolon, and others.”
Normally, because of its strength and transparent, it is used for high impact areas such as bulletproof windows in banks.
It can be injection molded so so many areas it is used for.
Product features
Light performance
The light transmittance is transparent like glass,
and it is good as a shading screen or as a substitute
for ceilings and windows for natural light.
Heat insulation
It effectively blocks the flow of heat to reduce heating and cooling costs.
As it blocks the flow of the outside air layer, it has
excellent thermal insulation effect.
Self-extinguishability
Extinguished in high heat like fire but does not add
to the spread of fire.
Impact resistance
It is about 250 times stronger than glass and 50 times stronger than acrylic.
It can also be used for bulletproof purposes.
Lightened weight
As it is only about 1/2 the weight of glass,
there is little construction load on high-rise buildings and other structures, so it is effective in reducing
costs for transportation and construction.
Plasticity
Easy to attach and process on curve from strength resilience. Can make exit and create windows,
or apply for machine cover.
